Do tics usually get better or worse in the summer?

Yes, esp summer with allergies.

and there are other factors that may contribute to tics, pools, over heating the body,...

I have a 7 year old son that has TS.  He was prescribed tenax but we choose to do an alternative route.  There is alot of info out there if you search for it.

to bad more people aren't on this site to help with advice.

It seems the Tics have subsided considerably this summer. I feel it may be due to less stress or the Tic may just have periods of waning. My daughter is on Tenex and it has lessened her vocal tics and motor tics have completely  dissipated. This site is great, let's get the word out that it is available.

Re: Tics in the summer

Hello! I'm an adult with Tourettes, however, I seem to remember my tics subsiding in the summer. Less stress, less worry always meant fewer tics for me. I'm actually a teacher now, and during the summer when I'm away from work, my tics still lessen. For me, everything revolves around stress! :)
