This film’s purpose is to help create a better understanding of what it is like for a person to experience Tourette syndrome. Many with the disorder have agreed that the movie provides an unsurpassed inside view of how it feels to experience the tics and obsessive-compulsive symptoms associated with Gilles de la Tourette syndrome. The movie also presents a look into the history of the disorder and the treatment of people with TS in the past. This historical information reveals the roots of many misconceptions that exist today about Tourette’s. Although every person with Tourette syndrome experiences different symptoms (and very few people have all of them), there are many commonly-found symptoms that are addressed in detail in this program. The 33-minute video is produced by a person with Tourette syndrome and features five individuals with TS. This DVD is shipped in a clear protective case.
